The profession of teaching is one that often times requires you to deal with copyright and fair use laws. When selecting images, videos or other media to use in class, us teachers must ensure we are legally in the clear. For this reason, it is important for future teachers to develop an understanding of the laws. This week in class I built upon my own understanding. In my future classes I will reach out to copyright holders before using their intellectual property to get permission. As for the effects of technology in classrooms, I believe one of the most prevalent negative ones is decreased productivity. In recent years, with more and more students owning cell phone as well as more classrooms using laptops and iPad, students have become more interested in their screens than the schoolwork.
